The CCFL UV lamps is truly Ultra Violet, it doesnt emit much visible light. It does emit a lot of ultra violet light that you cannot directly see. What little light you do see directly is a very deep purple, UV Lamp works be with UV-reactive or phosphorescent surfaces .
